What do I need to use Neomailbox?
To use Neomailbox securely all you need is an SSL capable mail
client, like Eudora, Netscape Communicator, MS Outlook, Outlook
Express, Apple Mail for OS X, or a number of others.
Neomailbox has been tested and is known to work with the following
email programs:
- RitLabs SecureBat
- Mozilla Thunderbird (Windows, OS X, Unix)
- Apple Mail 1.2.5 (OS X Jaguar 10.2.6 or better)
- Microsoft Outlook Express 5 (Windows 2000)
- Microsoft Outlook Express 6 (Windows 2000)
- Microsoft Outlook XP 2002 Version 10 (Windows XP)
- Qualcomm Eudora 5.2.1 (Windows 2000)
- tkcMail on Qtopia for Sharp Zaurus
- mutt and pine on Unix-like platforms
Even if your mail program is not listed above, in most cases it
should work fine with Neomailbox.
If you have trouble setting up your email program, we will assist
you in getting the configuration right to make sure our service
works for you.
In the event that your mail program turns out to
be incompatible with Neomailbox, we will refund your subscription
price.

Do I need to install additional software or plug-ins?
No. You should be able to use your favourite email application, so
long as it supports SSL connections, which most popular ones do.

Do you provide spam / virus protection?
Yes. Our servers check your incoming mail against known Spam / Virus
signatures using Vipul's Razor, an award-winning collaborative spam
detection system. The privacy of
your mail is not compromised in any way during this process, since
only a 'hash signature' calculated from your message is sent to the
spam identification servers.
If a message is identified as spam or as containing a virus, we
don't delete the message from your mailbox. Rather, we add the
"X-Razor-Spam:" header, which you can use to filter these messages
using your own mail reader program. If a message contains known
spam as identified by razor, it will be tagged with the header
line "X-Razor-Spam: SPAM".
